What would you rather!?

-it through the christmas holidays, therefore will most likely only be a scooter comp
-through school days, will be bmx and skate comp aswell

PS. If we make it through the christmas holidays it will be much harder to organise and will not be a definite 100% of happening

ur a fuck head, probably no one worth coming will show up if its in school days coz peoples parents would most likely say NO!!! also their parents would probablt want to go with and this might be a big shock but... most peoples parents work OMG!!

so arrange a date
to make sure it will turn out ok confirm people who are coming to make sure u wont have 3 people turn up...
get it sponsered
get approval from your local council
arrange entry fees
prizes
will it be jam or runs (runs prefferably)
see where people are staying and if you have a few rooms spare ask people who need accomodation after approval from parents
and do it quick so people will know ages ahead so bikers and shit wont be all shitty coz this came out of fucking no where

AND GO!! DO IT NOW!

dood chill out

we only made this thread to see how many people would come.

Tristan i dont think it would be a good idea to have it during school days.

ethan if it does happen:

there will be the comp at the new redlynch with runs, then a jam or we can just meet up at the town park the next day.

it isnt easy getting a sponsor for a scooter comp, if you have any ideas can you say??? we are looking at toys r us

prizes will be pro mods if toys r us is willing, or money from entry's if we dont get a sponsor.

accommodation: cairns is a tourist city, so there is plenty of back packers for about $20 to 40 a night. or take a tent and sleep at the park???? if you are really desperate stay awake the whole time.

tristan SHOULD of called the council a week ago, but wont let me

this is a more appropriate question

would you be more likely to come before Christmas or after??

Re: Scooter competition at redlynch skatepark

Hi Tristan,

Thank-you for your inquiry. As you know, the Redlynch Skate Park stage 2 development is well underway and construction should be complete within the next week. Once the new revamped park is finished, we hope to have an official opening before Christmas. One of the many ideas discussed regarding how best to open the park is a competition for scooters, BMX and skateboards to be held as part of a new skate series that runs across Cairns, culminating in a final at the Esplanade skate park. It is hoped that this series includes music, graffiti art, demonstrations and of course the competition. The details of this proposal are still very sketchy however in the coming weeks we hope to have a clearer picture of what will take place. In any case the street sport community will be notified in advance of any plans council has.

Many thanks,
