Camcorder or Camera

Is it better to get a camcorder or a camera i will be using for filming and pictures and if i get a camcorder i can only do videograbs which suck but is video on a decent camera good what do u guys think for like 200-300 dollars

Haha why do you need 3ccd? I'd only recomend people to get 3ccd if they know how to operate a camera properly. Otherwise, if you turn it on and hit record, get a 1 chip

but if you get a 200 dollar 1 chip then have it for a month, then they want to upgrade they have to save another 400, whynot just learn how to use a camera properly while having better quality and not needing to upgrade for a while?
