the CC one cost about 500, so you can get a fairly decent cam.

definitely get a mini dv. i'd suggest this- http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/477103-REG/Panasonic_PVGS320_PV_GS320_3_CCD_Mini.html they seem quite popular right now.

it has 3 ccd's, which instead of your current one-color sensing chip, it has 3 seperate chips, one for red, green, and blue. and thats the same as 3 times the color quality.
