1st choice would be the 7d
2nd Rebel T2i

These will allow you to take great still shots as well as Video. Once you get the hang of the Video part you can really do some nice stuff with the Canon
(Nikon, Pentax also) because you can slap on a 50mm 1.8 and control the depth of field [any other lens with an F2, 2.8 will work also.]

Focus on the subject and the background will be out of focus- this gives the Video the Film Look.

Muse, Flip Ultra HD 2 hour gets the job done. I paid 60 dollars for one brand new. I also bought a fisheye for 25 dollars. I made a handle for 6 dollars. I bought extra batteries, a bag, and I am saving for an underwater case! It is nowhere near professional quality or 'cool', but it was the coolest 100 bucks I have spent.

This a Client/Friend's Video shot with a DSLR- 5d mark II but you can get the same results with a t2i or other DSLR with the right lens choices and camera work.

So if you want to go that route and have the cash it is a good choice.

Going to tap him for a Scoot Video as I want to get the same look for the riders and then add the action shots- not sure how long I'll make the Video though.

as in Scootin' y'all say "Get out and Ride"

same in Photography.."get out and shoot!"

The Flip and other cameras are good also- they just don't offer the flexibility- just want to make it clear that I'm not knocking them- like I said, get out and shoot.

Robert Rodriguez shot his break out Movie on an Olds skool VHS Video camera.

you cant get the same video quality as a 5d mark 2 with a t2i. T2i's dont even have full frame video.
