Camera's/Movie maker

So im going to get a camera, but i dont know what one to get, im alowd to spend around $400 to $500. I search this question i google, and it send that windows dropped windows movie maker, so they just use the original one. what file types work with windows movie maker and whats a good camera/vid camera in those amount of dollars, btw im an ausssie, but the other countrys reply aswell ill do the converting myself

Oh btw, i was think of getting a sony handycam, do there file types work with windows movie maker, coz i dont wanna download a new editing thing, coz im onli new to the whole making vids thing and editing

Its not the camera, its the file types the camera puts out.
If they files types are not working in Movie Maker go to www.media-convert.com and convert the file to WMV or AVI format and then try that.
