Can you learn style?

I think you can, but only to a certain extent. If you ride sloppy and stuff you can clean that up, stop landing short/flat bottom and land tricks cleaner, but I don't know if you can actually learn style, I think it's something you just do or don't have. What do you guys think?

Yeah I was thinking of Dylan fo sho. But I think you can only learn it to a certain point. Because I know some riders will always be ugly, but I'm not gonna mention any names (they aren't on this site so don't worry).

i learned style from kc like he used to make me re do my tricks cause i would catch them with one foot. and it helped alot

everyone has a different type of style...i just call it originality haha dont know if tht makes any sence but yea...like one person might think you did it sloppy nd another person will think it was just style....

Look at how much Jordan's style has changed. Look at his Aus 2 part/mini video then watch some recent footage of him..

I've entirely changed my style, I've worked really hard on it too so idk, I'm happy

i used to go all big now i mix it up and flow and tweak everything out as much as possible from tables to inverts to just whipping out the deck in wierd ways

Street does require flow if you're riding banks and such, but if you're jumping stairs and stuff there's no flow, but there's still style.

style i agree, but yea unless your riding ditches and stuff it doesnt really require much. as for learning style, ehh..i think its just how you ride as you progress, i mean if i was watching 2 different riders who both land everything smooth and with speed, i could probably say one has better style than the other but i couldnt tell you what about their riding made it stylish..just some people make tricks look good and others dont. so i dont think you can really focus on "style" and learn that, you definately can focus on flow, smoothness, and speed though. i think some people do clean up and have a better style as they progress more, like levon for example, i know he doenst have THE most beatiful riding ever, but hes definately gotten better about it, and i do think he makes tricks look a lot better than he ever used to. Another thing is maybe people sort of get it unintentionally, like say someone learns some tricks, since they are just learning them..the tricks are probably hard for them, and they probably wont look that great..but as they do them more and get the trick more easily, theyll look better beacuse they arent trying as hard to do it? well this is going on forver so im shutting up now<3

Riding clean isn't always riding with style. Example: There's this crazy bmx'er at my local park that goes huge, and he always lands clean in tranny and all that, but he rides ugly. His back is all stiff or something, but when he rides it doesn't look right, even though he lands his stuff clean.

if style with scootering kinda goes with skateboarding style then i say it has to be achieved. like what was said before, landing clean isnt what makes style. and it all depends on the person too. I know some guys who watch scooter and skate videos saying they like when the landing is a little stiff because it shows how much control they have over the tricks they do. Others of my friends like it when riders bend down real low after theyve done gaps or sets. I algo agree with the statements about where street skateing requires more style, while park requires more flow. there are exceptions like if your at a really good street spot or a wierd park also
