Cane Creek S-1 on RUP fork issue

I bought a cane creek s1 knocked off old crown race put new one on, tighten it up and the locknut i have to use to compress it keeps locking up when i tailwhip the headset wont spin its so frustrating someone help me out.

I actually kinda fixed it, it wobbles a bit but i hit the cups a tiny bit with a mallet, made sure everything was flush used bike grease for the bearings and now it works, i might buy a washer or something to tightwn it better.

word, i just got a new headset haha, but it was in the 5$ box at my local bike shop, so watevs haha
