Cannon HV 30

I'm Pretty sure this is the camera I'm gunna buy, Is this a good choice, should I get something better. I'm looking for HD, something really good,for under 1000, this is around 600 plus leaves me 400 to spend on lights, lens, batteries, etc..

Would you recomend this camera, or something different?
What should i buy with the camera, the best lens to get, best battery , best light, external microphone?

baby death, 4/8 hour battery, spacer rings to make the baby death wider, a homemade handle
i dont know much about michrophones but pretty much the best brand of lights are bescor look it up i dont know what models are the best but they have battery packs you clip to your waist for some serious power my friend has one and its so bright

if youre going to get the baby death, just be sure to get the 43 to 37mm step down ring

its a great choice but you have to makesure you have enouph room on your computer because hd takes up a lot of room and van make editing reallly slow.

the spacer rungs make the fisheye wider, as the babydeath is REALLY wide, your camera wont utilise the whole fisheye, the spacer rings make the camera look through more of the fisheye lense

Just buy UV filters and knock the glass out for spacer rings.

i think if you use a light it uses your hotshoe so you cant use a mic at the same time but yeah
look around on sp for mics youll find a good brand there
