Last bump I need somebody who knows shit about cameras

Well they are kind of the same camera in a lot of ways.
-Both have a flip out screen
-Both film in 1080P
-Both are 18 megapixels
-Both have a Digic 4 image processor.
-Both have the same ISO capabilities.
-Both have 9 focus points.
-Both have a minimum shutter speed of 30s
-Both have a 1.6x crop factor
-Both have a built in flash.
-Both Have a hot shoe
-Both film in H.264 video format.

The T3i body is about 200$ cheaper than the 60D.

Things the T3i has that the 60D doesn't.
- 3-10 digital zoom.
- has a features guide ( shows you features. )

Things the 60D has that the T3i doesn't.
-96% Viewfinder Coverage.
-0.95 Viewfinder magnification.
-Shutter speed goes up to 1/8000 ( T3i has 1/400. I usually shoot scootering in bright daylight at around 2500-2000. )
-Shutter has a continuous speed of 5.3 frames a second (T3i takes 3.7)
-60D almost has triple the amount of battery life.
-Moisture and dust resistant.

The 60D is more heavier than the t3i. Also has a top view LCD screen.

There honestly the same camera picture and video wise, all comes down to body preference really.

You better read this, haha. I would get the 60D.

I've read numerous times (and seen a couple of youtube videos) that a nicer lens on a ok camera can most of the time takes better pictures. What lense you talking about getting? L glass at all?

Hmmm... L lenses are a lot more than 350. Would you rather have a heavier or lighter camera? or bigger so it fits in your hands better or nice and snug?

I hate light cameras heavier is a lot easier / more steady to film with to me

Personally i like a larger, heavier camera because of my huge hands.

The 60D is heavier by 205 grams. Not really sure if that is noticeable or not. I would get a t3i with a 50mm and a opteka 6.5 as a fisheye. If you think about it your getting the same camera (because they really are mostly specs wise) and 2 nice lenses. And you can always get used to the weight of the camera.

edit: about your editing, as far as i know it wont. But you may not be able to get THE ABSOULUTE BEST quality out of it as you would with the right render settings on vegas.

Pretty much comes down to physical aspects.

Maybe try and find someone with a t3i and someone with a 60d and compare the two as to which once you like better?

no problemmm

Thanks Ryan but would u rather have a t3i and a nice lens or a 60d and just a 50mm lens?

The canon 50mm is junk. Don't waist your money on that piece of plastic. Buy a Nikon 50mm and get an adapter or an alternative brand.

Also if I'm not mistaken the T2i T3i and 60D all have the EXACT same sensor. AKA the pictures will be exactly the same either cameras. I'm pretty sure the 7D has the same sensor but with dual processors.

I personally think the 50mm is a great lense besides the plastic feeling of it. Not to mention the focus makes an annoying as fuck sound.

And you are right about the t2i/t3i/60d having the exact same sensors.
