k so my battery light came on so i went and got it tested and they said my alternator was dead and wasn't charging the battery so it needed to be replace so i did that, but when they replaced it it still wasn't charging the battery so they checked all the fuses and wires and stuff and they said a wire was short circuiting (sp?) and they fixed that so then it worked and was charging the battery i assumed. But after about an hour of driving my car freaked out and all the little gauges on my dashboard went down so it didnt show my speed, rpms, gas, engine temp or anything. So i guess the brand new alternator STILL wasnt charging the battery so i went to a differnet place and they said my battery terminals needed to be replaced and i did that and it fixed the problem.
so my question, did i just blow a few hundred on an alternator i probably didnt even need?
