carbon fiber?

why not is it because of the cost? idk i would not mind paying a little extra for a lighter deck that is strong for ex: a phoenix with thin walls but the interior is carbon fiber and strong and light?

Carbon fiber is not a good material for stressed components...it tends to just rip and shatter under big impacts.

"Carbon fiber is very strong when stretched or bent, but weak when compressed or exposed to high shock."

Why would you want to? Decks now are plenty strong and light enough, and you'd be paying like 500 dollars for a deck if you wanted a carbon fiber one.

The only place I could see carbon being worthwhile would be as a crossbar on a Buff style bar (which you can already do) or a steerer on a Buff style bar.

it could be done as a deck

yes it COULD be done but its not going to be...the deck would flex so bad..have you ever felt carbon fiber on like a dirt bike whip or something? it bends and flexs like crazy..also it would be expensive as a mofo to make and to buy. all around its a pointless idea..

if you went to do a grind or landed against something it would shatter. Look into things before you make a thread.

its been done and failed, only way i see it happening is maybe a honeycomb type deal with alloy but that sound crazy effort for scooters, we already pay too much
