Cell phone type question

Alright I have verizon, and they are money hungry bitches. I break phones sort of a lot, and i have insurance so i can just pay 50 bucks and get a new phone. I recently received a new phone, and I want to transfer my contacts over to my new one. I'm not doing it by hand since i have 235 of them haha. Verizon will do it for you at the store for like 10 or 20 bucks, takes about 5 seconds for them haha fuck that. Anyway, I used to use a program called bitpim with my phone's (LG vx9900... the env) USB cord, but 2 phones ago they started blocking the directory to that so i couldn't use bitpim anymore. I ended up figuring out that you can bluetooth contacts over, and you can do up to 10 at a time. So the last 2 phones I've been doing that instead. Nowww that I just got a new phone, the old one's bluetooth isn't working right and it can't be found. I have the ability to hook my phone up to the computer via USB and that's about it. Does anyone know how I can get around that ridiculous charge?

I got myself banned.
welll what i do (i have verizon) well you can just call customer service and they'll tell you how to like get this thing called backup assistant (you download it off your phone, from like get it now, they'll tell you how to get to it) and then you just download that and they'll walk you through it and from then on you have all your contacts saved and you can open it with a new phone and just get your contacts in in a couple minutes

just call customer service that should be what happens

idk when i go to a verizon like legit verizon store not like a cellphone store that an authorized verizon dealer or whatever they transfer numbers and pictures for free

i have to get verizon my college is in the middel of no where and verizon only works so yea

bitpim is a program you could use, but i hear that sometimes you have to toy with it a little to get it to work. it might be easier to just take it to the store, they shouldnt charge you though, i have verizon too and when i broke my phone and got a new one they did it for free
