Changing the name of our sport

so me and the rest of the people im doing shows with right now have agreed that its going to be a lot harder for people to take our sport very serious when its called scootering... for example what happens if one day the x games does put scootering in what are we going to call it? extreme scootering? Im saying we should refer to it as smx or something like that because back in the day biking changed their name to bmx and even though the entire sport hated it, it stuck and now thats what its known as also rollerblading was never known as extreme rollerblading it was aggressive inline skating...
what do you guys think?

smx would mean scooter moto cross its a kinda good idea tho for the name change imo. but a lot of companies would have to change their name of website or stuff like that

think about this. if we change our name of the sport. doesnt that mean we cant take it seriously either? If they cant take the sport seriously because of our name thats pretty low. I mean its what we do not what its called. we shud keep the name the same. even if this was debatable i dont like the idea.

there was a european invention already called the SMX. it's a cross between a scooter and bike. nice try, though.

Super queer.
shavinn! also..nobodys going to take the sport seriously with a bunch of gay ass, pussy scooter kids. You gotta be tough to survive in this world. So bikers and ksaters wanna talk shit give them a run for they money. only way were going to get recognized is if we show them whats up. were not ALL pansys.

IM SO DOWN WITH SMX.

Scootering sounds gay. Scooterer sounds gay.
SMX'er sounds awesome.

YES.

Think:
"I'm a freestyle SMX'er"
vs
"I ride scooters/I'm a scooter rider/I'm a freestyle scootererererer"

It sounds so much better.

1) its taken
2) i dont think we should change it, it really doesnt matter. nobody takes us seriously because back in the day good freestyle scooter riders went to skateparks and shredded, then little kids who cant skate saw it and were like "oooh mom, look!!!oghskjghk" and they bought a1's and began to scoot at parks. skaters/ inliners/ bmxers make fun of us cause of those kids. when actual riders come to parks and do tricks, nobody makes fun of them. if we want to be takes seriously, we need to devise elaborate plans to assassinate all scooter kids or something

if you assinate all scooter kids then who will take up the mantle when we are gone??? think about that one for a second and realize it was a stupid statement...

hey smart one. ever thought that everyone starts out? i started out with an A1..

THE worst, is in santa cruz some little kid comes up to me "hey do you know scooty matt? he can do a front scooty flip over the box." it just reminded me how 50 percent or more of people involved with scootering are complete panzies. Scooters is just not a word that rolls of the tounge very well.
