Changing the name of our sport

Let's change the name to "raving".

raving is used for this thing called rave gloves, there gloves with light tips and people put on shows for people who are high and they call it raving at clubs

I do like the idea of it having a different name than "Scootering", or "freestyle Scootererer". SMX is a good idea but there are already motor scooters... so idk

so me and the rest of the people im doing shows with right now have agreed that its going to be a lot harder for people to take our sport very serious when its called scootering... for example what happens if one day the x games does put scootering in what are we going to call it? extreme scootering? Im saying we should refer to it as smx or something like that because back in the day biking changed their name to bmx and even though the entire sport hated it, it stuck and now thats what its known as also rollerblading was never known as extreme rollerblading it was aggressive inline skating...
what do you guys think?

The kids with the a1's are just random kids. i actually see little kids with promodels asking me how to do tricks and such and they are really good to see. i dont mean those type of kids. the future is in the hands of dedicated kids, not the kids who scootering is a fad for. i skateboarded once but it was just a fad, same with longboards and inline skates

i bet most os us were bitches when we were growing up and if you deny it then youre a douche and senior boston is right who gives a fuck like seriously scooting or scootering call it what ever lets just ride man and ride good if you wanna be taken seriously then get a bunch of people and invade a summer xgames comp during one of their sessh and shred it the fuck up...that would get the sport noticed and piss off some skaters hahaha

I like the name EFS extreme freestyle scootering..... heres a fun fact the people I'm doing shows with are tom haugen and jaren grob why don't you little kids look up those riders both were in the x games ans both were some of the original pros in their sport and both of them were around when their sport went through a name change how serious would people take bikers if they were called bicyclers ? Not at all if you guys have a love for this sport and want to make a decent living off it eventually your going to grow up and realize a more mature name is better for marketing and the better the marketing the more money we have in our sport and in case you guys didn't realize everything revolves around money rollerblading forr one does not have any money because they have no marketing bmx on the other hand has so many different tours and contests because they know how to market their sport and keep it legit

i agree, even if the name DID get changed i still think that people will call it "scootering, scooting" etc.

IMO i think its no point even attempting to change to name because most people will still call it scootering.

tanner i said i was a bitch when i was a kid i go ride all the time at local parks people give me shit i tell them to fuck off and keep riding everytime i go to a skate shop for grip and bearings for my scoot they make fun of me and i just stand there and let them make their fun skateboarders where made fun of too for riding a toy back in the day...it will all catch up to people when they find out this shits legit and here to stay

BMX came from bikes as in dirt bikes
so i think its fair that we use SMX witch came from motorized scooters
