Chip in proto gripper!!!

Hi i have a small chip in my proto and i cant notice it but i was wondering if this would eventually wear away or the chip would get worse??

and i would say if its just small it will be fine
if its your back wheel and it gets worse maybe put it in the front , less force will be put on it .

Yer its my back wheel ill just keep an eye on it and swap it over if it gets worse do u reckon it could wear down and dissapear over time??

depends how wide/deep it is
quite often riding over small stones and sometimes even glass can make little slits and holes , if had to get a needle and wiggle a shard of rock out my wheel before and it held up fine.
so unless this hole is a big daddy then i think you wont have a problem
