um no. if stocks and wees work fine then these should would work too.but they dont.?
PLUS- my friend made bars with me and he is using a old a fork and his will not clamp either.

the slits on mine were 1-1/4 so i mad them 1-1/2 and it didnt work. should i make them bigger like 2 inches?

no there is nothing wrong with the shim either cuz i cut the clamp therefore when i clamp the bars i have plenty of room. when i tighten the clamp as tight as i can its not even close to bottoming out. so hep greg sayes i cut them to wide but idk. im startin to thing i should cut the slits longer like 2 inches?

Here is a picture of the slits on my bars. Penny for reference of course. There is another slit on the opposite side too.

no.. i dont think it has to do with how wide they r. cuz i saw pictures of c4 slits and there huge. i just dont know.. i think i might just let them sit around til that brass knuckle clamp comes out and then just cut the slitted part off.
and my uncle is welding it not an old lady. that was my neighbor lol
