then its mt sac at the end of this school year.

yes cory it is, i hate going to college.

its even been proven that reguardless of whether you attended college, it doesn't mean you lose a good future and education if you choose not to, even some of the milionaires of today didnt even go.

but i have to go to college otherwise... i lose my health insurance. =)

but the mexicans who come into CA looking for opportunity get that shit for free!

i dont know how you guys can seriously say that. yeah, obviously you "can" become a millionaire without a college degree. the only thing is your 50 times more likely to do it WITH a college degree.

yeah, private college is absurdly expensive and they ass rape you. if i didnt have scholarships/financial aid i'd be paying $40,000 a year. but the thing is, if you work hard enough you can get a scholarship and all you have to do is apply for financial aid. and if thats still too much, go to a state college. i guarantee youll pay less than 10,000. and if THATS still too much, go to a community college for almost nothing.

look into it some more, on average a college graduate will make at least %40 more in their life than someone that just finishes high school.

the year im done with school (3 years from now) i'll be able to find a job i want anywhere in the country, starting at at least $60,000. within 10 years i should be making $100,000, and if i decide to open my own engineering firm theres no limit to how much i can make.

ill take that over $30/hr busting my ass doing manual labor any day. and besides that, college is the time of your life. whats wrong with a 5 yr long party?

Psh I just finished at the Farmboy Upper University of Posting (F-U-UP) and now I'm headed for grad school, the Matt Dibble School for Advanced Post Whorers (MDSAPW)

But really, I want to go to University of Iowa and major in something in communications like journalism or something with computers, preferably web design.

Carys got it all figured.

I dropped HS and went to a comunity college to get my diploma early and also a degree in engineering. I found out for myself that that shit is a waste of time, I could have been working. If you look in the right places for REAL jobs. (not mickey dees etc..) you can surely find a job, with no more than a HS diploma, that you will be able to move up in and make it. As long as you show up everyday and work hard you can easily move up. In the time it would have taken to finish college I could be making that $60k you will be starting at easy. The only difference between us is that you will be broke paying back student loans etc.

Oh and those statistics you listed are most likely untrue and probably thrown out there by schools...
But why would they lie?
