My buddy Connor love is goin off to UCSB soon. Gonna miss him, and riding with him. I've learned a lot of stuff from him. Friends going off to college sucks, but I can't wait until college.

School above travel, a gap year is a nice decision and doesn't set you back, but if you waste away your 20's running around and don't have anything to make you money or a career out of... You're fucked.

@Tyler, props to you dude, maybe it will click, if not you have riding (which you do have a decent future in).

dude I'm so stoked we're going to school together, It's gonna be nice to know someone out there

going to school rules, I anticipate enjoying the "real" real world even more.

haha quotations rightfully placed, college barely compares to the "real world" where living off loans is ok, partying every day is routine, and you see it more or less becomes and extension of highschool while you cringe at the idea of graduating

All my friends are leaving within the next two weeks, my local is gonna be empty, I don't go away to school until January.

Shit sucks guys, I know a lot of people on this site aren't even at that age yet but how do you feel about everyone you know going away to school?

shit dudes, life's changing.

I'll have to make friends with the locals

"party everyday"

wut are you smoking

Take it with a grain of salt dude, not literally attend a party every day and get fucked up. It's totally socially acceptable to drink and smoke every day, and go to multiple parties a week. Did you think I was saying that you will attend a large party every day routinely getting blitzed outta your mind? Cmon man...

Shits gonna be nice, You'll be out for the start of the second semester, aka: snow season. Weekends are going to kick serious ass.

Im stoked too though, I have one other friend who is going to the U, you might like him (long ass hair, hippie as ----- smokes more pot than I can imagine). Either way its nice to know people already when you touch down.

As for Mr. Billman, no one drinks themselves silly every night, but weekends on a campus that is essentially a town of freshly liberated 18-21 year olds are filled with parties and mind altering substances. I'll be smoking daily, and drinking on the weekends; its how I kick it. You may not have, or may have, but some people live that way. Its not some crazy shit haha

I was soooo looking forward for college and then I met my roommate, got a gist of how the students are there and I just want to hang myself. That, and I don't know how to change my major.

sure, socially acceptable but not at all practical unless you're not going to school to go to school. I highly doubt anyone drinks every single day at any given college. That may be a risky thing to say but 99% of people do not do that. Smoke everyday, maybe. That's different though.

You'd be pretty darn surprised dude, I'm just saying drinking in general, not getting drunk necessarily. Look in a typical male college senior's fridge. You may notice that is has some lunch meat and 100 beers in it. I've witnessed this at more than one place. Plenty of kids drink every single day, not to the point of getting smashed, but if they're drinking something in the house, it's beer.

currently in year 11 and only have a year and few months of high school left.
really fucking scary.
if I don't get into my university course then I'm basically fucked.
but the upside to the risk is I only need a 30 in English and a folio which is very easily achievable but I'm ready to knuckle down.
but it'll be awesome to go to schoolies or something and have a gap year after high school.

Are you kidding me man? Like cases of cheapass beer and shitty eating habits cost a lot of money. Kids are already living off loans, fuck not having money, haha. Why you still on this, bro?

you don't sound like you've been to college bro

damn straight

I'm dropping it. You're right, young adults don't ever develop a fond liking to the taste of beer while in college. Never happens, and if it does, everyone would obviously be shocked. Not even an advocate, I've just seen it multiple times. I've only clarified as best I could, and I clarified a lot.

Same, alcohol never was my thing and I don't mind keeping it that way.
