the bottom cup has needle bearings and the top has sealed cartridge bearing kinda like wheel bearings but bigger.

Just wondering, as you all seem to be FSA nuts... Is there a big diffrence between FSAs and other bmx headsets? I could buy another, cheaper one but I dont know if it would be a waste of money as youre all so crazy about FSA...

FSA headsets seem the best and they are cheap look at the pig it's awesome and very affordabl...i learned the hard way and bought a cheap headset and it sucked ass

I have a dilema with my FSA Pig, I broke my forks and there's a little thing that makes the forks stay locked in so you don't need a bolt on the threaded part on the fork, and I don't know how to take it off. Any help?

that happened to me a few weeks ago. well ithink its the same problem. i got the end of a spanner put it in there and banged it out

there is a C clamp that keeps your fork on...get a flat headed screw driver and put the head of it into the hole and move it around and it will come loose

i think he means the bearing race on the bottom of the fork. just bang that shit off with a hammer like ya got a pair and it will come right off. be more carefull putting it on the new fork though so you dont mess up were the bearings go.

No it's on the top of the fork on the very top of the headset. It came with the headset and you just press it into the to top cup around the fork tube and it'll keep the fork in there without the big bolts you usually need.

So just use a screw driver?

OK NEGGAZ i got the best idea without spending a cent! hrere is what u need....

Get this think off an old fork..

then take off all ur shit from the hed tube thing and stick it on top of the hedset and it will look like this after ur done

sucks it should spin. i tighten mine by hand with a clamp as tight as i can get it and it takes a day or so to wear in and is perfect (add oil as much as you need)

yeah stan i just did that idea and it works great spins real good and is nice and sturdy.. i recoment doing this to yours haha
