Ok so heres this complaint i have about skateparks.

I think that anyone who puts stairs in a skatepark is mentally retarded. They tottaly ruin the whole park flow, why dont they just put in banks instead of stairs ffs, your still jumping the same gap and it still doesnt fuck up the flow of the park. It shits me when im flowin a new park and cruising around and i have to full on bail cause theres steps there. PUT BANKS INSTEAD OF STAIRS!

Am i the only person who sees how fucking stupid and useless stairs are in skateparks?

it depends on the prak layout, if u put stairs in front of a flowy run then that is stupid, but if u put stair out of the way then there is no problem...

yea ive thought about this too, unless tehres like a separate street section or the stairs arent getting in the way at all its stupid.

Dude no shit stairs in parks are fucking gay.. and theres no way to flow stairs. unless it has a rail or lege.. but yeah thy put stairs in parks just to keep the kid off the streets.

I think that stairs should be in parks, however only on street courses for skaters or like between the tops of the big and small ramps or something... Theyre a good argument for parks being better than street, haha, also they make it possible to ride a bigger variety of obstacles while being at the same place.

At Tempe skatepark they have a stairset where the ledges' walls are sloped for mad wallrides, I think that's pretty flowful and fun.

Instead of putting stairs in they should just put in banks, you can still jump banks and you can still roll down them without dieing...

yea i went to a knew park the other day and i was riding into what i thort was just a bank but it ended up being a 7 set so i had to bail... its confusing becos you forget which are banks and which are stair sets.. but if they the set is out of the way and doesnt ruin the flow then it doesnt bother me.. id rather hav a stair set i a park so you can ride park as well as street, as long as the set is not in the way its fine by me..

Know the feeling, (Kiama) A skate park it took us 6 hours to get to,we arived droped in,(I crashed) it started to piss down,Real fuking great aye!

There is a hip if u jump,look out for a flat brick wall,can sorta mess up ur flow/face!

yeah stairs at parks arent cool . unless its at matt dibbles park =] . that park needs a stair set . but that box to stair set is hell-a dumb .they mostly put it in there for skate boarders, bikers and bladers arent into stairs as much =]

i love stairsets at parks. I love street oriented parks in general. give me a street park over a 12 foot vert ramp any day!

k well parks aren't all about riding around. I agree that random stairs are pretty gay but its also gay to have rails and ledges going down banks. It is kinda shitty though when you cant do a scooterflip out of a bank because stairs are there. I mean why would you wanna even be like Matt Patte and throw it the hard way down some stairs. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Instead of scooterflippign the stairs, scooterflip down the bank, its the same distance and drop of and it doesnt ruin flow. Its a win win situation.
