Compression Kits

Hey guys, I am having a lot of trouble with my forks/headset that i will not bore you with but, what i do need to know is, How long are the bolts that come with a compression kit, where can i buy such a bolt and what size star nut do i need if i'm running Wee Bars!? As it would cost me a lot of money to get a whole compression kit sent over if i can just get the parts from a hardwae or bike store etc.

Get a over sized starnut from a bikeshop and that will probably come with a top cap and a small bolt for the starnut and take that small bolt in to like a hardwere store or a place that specializes in nuts and bolts adn ask the for a really long one wich is that same size(probably be handy to measure from the forks to the bars to get th proper length) and there you have it a cheap compression system.

An over sized bike fork, Some MTB'scome with 1.5" steerertube so one for the massive forks.

Finding the bolt is going to be REALLY hard. Im pretty sure the ones for the SR compression kits had to be specially ordered.

you can make your own pretty easy


step 1: get a mtre long double sided bolt
step 2: cut how much you need.
Step 3ut 2 nuts on the end and tighten them into each other
