Compression problem

Everytime I try to tighten the compression bolt on my SCS the starnut either draws up or the sliver piece spins in the middle. Any ideas to fix this?

damn, your starnut is seperated.... you are pretty much fucked. bk used a truck to seperate them.

I have gotten it out but this is the thrid time this has happned so I want this to stop so I'm gonna put a new one in and jb welid the shit out of it

before you put the starnut in, have someone just put a quick little tack weld on the starnut so the center piece doesnt come loose from the flanges

ok man. but also I have the fear that the whole star nut will start spinning in side it

tack welding the 2 peices of the starnut wont let the pieces spin once its inside

Mabye you are tighting it too much? You dont want it too be really tight just kind of snug I have a tutorial on this channel.

thanks guy really appericate the help. I went to my local bike shop and he hooked me up with the right kind ( I guess i was useing the wrong kind?) but no its alll good and I jb welided it just in case so it works very well.
