Compression Ring won't come out

i have a fsa the pig unsealed on a threaded fork and the compression ring is not coming out its a champ

i have the same problem all the time. OK here what u do, take a flathead and remove the black thing that says FSA. just tug it off, then with the flat head pry at the thing that the compression ring sits in. Like it will pop up a lil bit, then hit it back down, then go to the other side of the of the ring and do it. and the compression ring will come up when u pry it and stay up when u hit the thing under it back down.

no all you do is take a hammer or what ever and hit the part that says fsa a few times and turn it and hit it
