compression system

exactly what does it do does the star nut go in the bars and the bolt goes in the star nut and it just holds them together? and in the compression package is it just the allen and bolt and the nut?

the compresion system is to hold the bearing cage in the cups of the threadless headset but i have no clue what the starnut does (im still trying to figure that out)

You hammer the starnut into the bars, you put your fork/headset/headtube/bar assembly together, put the bolt up through the fork and into the starnut then tighten the bolt, the bars tighten down onto the headset, then clamp the bars onto the fork. Its really simple once you figure it all out.

theres a bolt?
whattt

Yeah like a 6 1/2 inch long bolt that goes up through the fork tube and into the starnut that is in the bars. Then you tighten the headset from the bottem of the fork instead of the gay threaded fork nuts.
