seriously, i have been trying to think how a compression system and starnut stuff works and like how to put it in... like i dont get it. and i also dont get how SCS (brass knuckles) helps.

someone explain or make a video

wow ok regular compression is easy there is a starnut inside the bars and at the bottom of ur fork there is a small hole or washer tht u stick a long bolt into and it goes up to the starnut in bars and tigtens and holds together .... ask sum1 else bout scs i dont have tht

well u can use a ghetto compression

all u need is a seat post clamp thredless bars and of course a thredless fork so put on ur fork threw ur headtube then put take ur seat post clamp and put it all the way down and tighten it then put ur bars on with ur other clamp and tighten every thing and there you go a compression system

^ur retarted it doest compress therefore isnt a compression system..
comperresion is used to pull bars and forks together if u use just a clamp on threadless it could slip out.. anyway this is how it works.. u put a starnut in ur bars.. just they way it is it stays in ur bars super tight .. in the middle of the starnut is a hole that a bolt can thread into.. u put the bolt throught the hole on the bottom of forks and screw it into the starnut the tighter it gets the more your bars and forks pul together.. brass knuckles are the same except your forks are getting pulled together with the knuckle instead of your bars .. then your bars just clamp on top

compression is to hold down your HEADSET, not your BARS. look at rad hic. it doesnt hold down your bars at all. you can screw the hic on to your fork (if you have 1-3/8'' bars), use the bolt-and-starnut ics compression, or the big scs.

Hmmmm I seriously hate the way scooter kids think of compression....

Like scs isnt even a "compression system" technically its the same as a stem on a bike.

I NEVER hear any bikers talking about their "compression systems" lol

Inverted is just like a headlock system used for bikes.

HIC is just a slotted headset spacer.

Get over "compression systems" already.

It shouldnt even be considered a seperate part to your scooter.

Its just the way your headset stays tight.
Figure it out!

If you reallly really really cant figure it out then I suggest
Brass knucks. or bars that has an integrated system. Deffinetly the easiest and most simple ways to keep your threadless headsets tight.

You just have to understand how things work together.
