confused with compression

right now i have pretty much a razor pro model, i say pretty much cuz its not a legit razor but its built just the same. im confused with getting new bars/forks/ and compression and all that. since i have a threaded fork, bars with slits, and just a clamp, does that mean when i get either new bars or a new fork i have to buy all that plus a comprssion system at the same time for it to all go together? thanks.

start with bars, then... work on making it a legit razor, then a lucky, then mess with the fork and such

im kinda wonderin how its *not* legit. is it like a jd bug or what? and idk but get bars first, there cheaper and less hassle.

build ur way up. start with new bars. then when u have enuf money get threadless forks and compression.

it says california scooters or something on the grip and bars. like its a solid deck and and i bolted the foldy mech. im just wondering, like would a good one piece bar just fit over my threaded fork and i could just put my clamp on it? or would i need a threadless fork, and have to buy like, brass nuckles to make it all work?

dude, just get some good one piece bars first. then if your having problems with the deck fork, save up a fair bit, and buy a razor ultra pro, then put your bars on it, and if you want buy some good wheels and bearings. then chuck them on, and you should be good for a long time. but if you really want threadless buy one of those completes they sell at scooterzone. then you dont have to fuck around with putting it all toghether. but just look around a little more on this site. there are threads about how compression works, its just that it takes a little while to explain and no one can be fucked explaining it

Yes, ANY one piece bars go over threaded forks and threadless forks fine.

But you cant used oversized bars unless you are using HIC compression.

I'm using rad hic bars with no shim or anything with a regular clamp on my tresses forks till I get my new stuff and it works just fine and hasn't budged

Lol. Your an idiot. Your clamp would be bending the bottom of the bars where the slits are in sooooo much.

Most likely you have bent your slits in.
