Cons of having 22" wide bars?

I do, but I'm also not a tiny little kid. Not saying you are, Chase, I'm saying that there are way too many kids who ride bars that are way too wide.

22 wide isnt even that wide. bmxers hit ledges and bar out with 24 26 28 inch bars so saying technical street lines/combos are out.... not really.

yeah i see what your saying, just because you have 22 wide bars doesn't mean you can't barspin, but your not going to see bar to bars off ledges, or whip to bar little stuff or flat, and your not going to see technical combos flat (I'm talking about the stuff that dan gutendorff would do in a flat game of scoot) Barspins will be a lot more plain, and more of a big deal, but as far as all these bar combos in street and flat, it's pretty unheard of.

what gussets do you suggest for 20 wide regular "T" shaped bars?
I keep bending mine and i want to weld some gussets on, are triangular ones any good?
what dimensions should i cut the triangles?

i ride 17 wide and i can bar on 22 wide. i dont feel the difference

Well that doenst really work.... cause If you havnt noticed BMX bikes are ALOT smaller then scooters, so they "need" wide bars or else there bikes would be hella sketch

the point is i think everyone rides different id just get 20s to me there perfect to ride with any style of riding there the widest id ever go and i ride street/flat so yea but thats just me i mean look at the ppl who ride and do street matt mckeen i think is riding either 18s or 20s now and greg he rides street and hes riding 20s but matt also rode stock almost his full time riding so it just shows everyone is different but your better off getting 20 wide and seeing if u like the feel and if not cut them down alittle and go from there and also with 20s you want your hieght higher than 20 lol like im riding 18 wide 23 high and the height cancels out the width IMO so im gonna get 20s prolly soon so itll feel perfect so yea either 20w 22 high or something taller
