so, iv'e got a couple of hours were i'm not doing much, and i might sand down my purple district AL-2 v3 bars, cause the graphics and colour is just awful -.- but i have few questions,
will it take much time/effort?
is it worth doing? (if anyone's done them before, what was your result?)
and do i have to use a special type of sandpaper, or will i get away with just using griptape?

yeah but paint stripper just seems a much bigger job, and iv'e seen one person sand them, and it didn't look that bad?:p is it worth sanding it now, and if it really is dreadful, stripping it another time? or is that not an option?

i don't know if i can strip them since finding a well ventilated area is gonna be hard considering the weather, and well i'm fairly patient, so as long as i'm getting something out of what i'm doing, i'm prepared to take my time on anything, so ali, are you saying just to just raw them?

Yeah man, just take your time, make them look good and you will be proud. No need to laquer them as they are aluminium so just go ahead!

right so im pretty much done but has anyone got any tips for doing the gussets and welds?
and also, the weld connecting the crossbar to the downtube has gone really smooth, like no bumps, its still safe thought right?

Just get some paint stripper it doesnt matter about ventillation man up it doesnt even smell.

Yeah, just inhale dangerous fumes, you'll be fine...

No, don't, that's just dumb. For welds I would recommend using a mini bevel or something like that, should take the paint right off. If not, just time and effort, you may be able to get it off.

aha dont worry, i guessed that. but i honestly have no idea what a mini bevel is bro -.- and what about the super smooth welds, its not any weaker than before is it?

No.

The gussets are a pain to raw. Without using a liquid paint stripper it will be a lot of work trying to remove the paint from that area

Don't worry about paint stripper fumes. You're only doing it once it won't kill you. I've worked in a shed for 4 years with solder (that's got lead in it BTW), petrol, stripper, varnish, primer, paint. Everything and I'm still alright (I think). If you start getting light headed just go for a 5 minute walk outside and have a glass of water.

Make sure to clear coat them when you're done also, regardless of how you raw them. Just realised that you are using aluminium bars. Rust comment be gone. It's still a good idea anyway to protect them.
