i dont know if anybody likes baseball but the yankees pitcher corey lidle died today in a plane crash in new york r.i.p.

the story i read said he reported having some sort of fuel malfunction. not sure how that caused him to steer into a building, though.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the plane carrying a student pilot and instructor took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, circled the State of Liberty and then headed up the East River before falling off radar screens.


That seems weird.

Edit- ESPN.COM said it was really hazy and cloudy.

I absolutely hate the Yankees, but seeing a pitcher with such potential die at such a young age is just depressing.
