COTW or VOTW name/requirements?

I think depending on what the new rules and requirements are for submissions, maybe one name might be more appropriate than the other. Thoughts?

I think if it is like 30 second entries then it should be COTW, but if you make it possible for longer videos to enter then it should be VOTW, but personally I think COTW would be better because it is much easier for people to film a sick 30 second video than it is to film a sick 2 minute video.

I think we should pick up on our POTW + COTW, but while we do it, expand on COTW. Enable like a day vids to apply for it, and music/editing is alright. Obviously we wouldnt let a shitty flat tailwhip to the music of lil jon and the eastside boys be on the front page, but a few good clips edited to some good music (less than 45 seconds total?) would be sweet to see.

Anything from a single clip to up to 45 seconds, edited any way you please, to be on the front page. No annoying titles though, just the clips. Riders featured once a week on the front page.


And also, I don't know if anyone feels the same way, but we used to have A LOT of photographers in the sport, there are still some now, but I feel like every crew or team had at least like 2 people interested in photography so we always got a few good entries. It seems that is shifted now, but maybe I'm just not with the times.

all the photographers are still around, they are just growing up or working for companies so their work is not as freely distributed but i think if we give them a venue again to showcase their work as POTW we will see them coming back and probably see some new up and comers.

how do you feel about doing POTW again matt? i can forward POTW@scooterresource.com to whatever email you want to use for submissions.

i was also thinking about getting companies involved to sponsor potw and cotw so winners will actually get something for submitting and give companies an opportunity to get exposure. proto and fd of course are down to sponsor this but i rather wait until we get more companies on board to do that so i dont have to listen to people cry about how im trying to take over the sport by sponsoring my own stuff.

I really like the idea of companies sponsoring POTW, like once a month we take the 3 (or 4) potw's from that month and have a public vote for the winner or something? Or are you talking a weekly thing?

And yeah, I might be down to do POTW again, i just know it's a commitment, and I don't know if I'm ready to dedicate the time to it again. I'll let you know within a few days.

I will, but I can only guarantee until the end of next summer. I don't know what kind of time I'm gonna have next year when I transfer colleges and such. More likely than not, I would be able to continue. What to do next from here?

Also, is there any way I can access POTW@scooterresource.com, or does that not exist? I guess I don't really want to have my personal e-mails mixing with POTW entries, and i stupidly started using SRPOTW@gmail.com for my everything e-mail...

Just let me know what email you want POTW@scooterresource.com to forward to and they will just show up in your inbox. As long as you don't respond to any of the submissions your personal email will remain anonymous.
