Yeah it sucks I guess. My brother and I started riding back in 2007, but he just recently stopped riding to focus more on his career in rugby. We would keep pushing each other further and further. Eventually it came to the point when we were both evenly matched when it came to who was better than the other. Its kinda weird not having someone to ride with, now. Oh well. No one really knows that I have a brother who scooters (or did scooter) and is pretty much just as good as I am hahaha.

Call him a bitch and tell him to practice if he doesnt think hes good.
If that doesnt work, then ride with any friends you have that skate. The majority of my friends skate and bike, I skate too but Im on the scoot 90% of the time Im with skater friends.

The guy who got me into riding quit after a broken collarbone. Shit sucked, I quit for a bit but got back into riding on and off. Not having anyone to push you does really fuck up your will to ride and progess. My only advice would be don't do what I did; quitting every other week, de-progressing, restarting, quitting, restarting, quitting... The cycle ruins you, isn't fun, and you end up sucking in the end.

Stick with it if you want to, otherwise just find a new hobby. Leaving and coming back just isn't worth it (when repeated in a shortish period of time)

really, you should just relax about it all and let him quit. if he doesnt like riding anymore then he doesnt like riding anymore

Yeah, I don't have anybody to ride with so I guess my will to learn tricks isn't very strong. I just ride. But it's the same way with my guitar playing. When I'm surrounded by people who I'm competing with to be better than and also to be able to play great music with, I'm a million times more motivated than when I'm at home, playing by myself every day. Shit sucks.
