crown race help

ok so i got my hands on a crown race witch i didnt have on before so when i try to put it on my fork there is a little thing blocking it kinda of like a mini crown race on my inward

with crown race

without (i no pic is horrible but my phone sucks and i got no camera)

Its suppose to be there. Hit the race down with a hammer until it goes on fully.

Yes it does. Hold one side with your thumb and hammer the other side down. Keep trying.

get a pipe that is just abit bigger then the fork tube but not bigger then the crown race. put the forktube with the crown race in the pipe and flip it upside down so the fork legs are facing up. hit the pipe on the ground until the crown race goes in. (the fork tube will bounce up and down as you hit it on the groung making the crown race go in evenly.) you may need to use some lube

dude i had the same issue as lil stevon said just put your thumb on 1 side and hit the other side with a rubber mallet and do this all around the crownrace like just not in 1 spot

Take a pipe and put it over the fork and hit it down. thats what i did.

hah exactly and it had a crack bearing sleeve anyway.. so i m ganna go try to smash it some more with the bar from my rock band drums haha

haha, good thing you made this. cause I would of had the same problem in a couple days. I ordered a crown race two days ago. and I guarantee you I would of asked the same question.
