Crown Race on RUP Forks

I have a Origin8 Propulsion Sealed headset and I tried putting on the crown race it came with on my RUP forks, but it doesn't work. When I have it one and put the locknut on the forks it doesn't spin on like 1/4th of the headset. It is all smooth until I turn to that one spot and it like catches. I can't even whip with it tight otherwise it will only turn like 3/4th of the way. Any help or suggestions?

use the origin 8 crown race...? that is your problem right there

That is what I did. I put on the Origin8 crown race and it still catches when I spin it. That is what I originally was trying to explain.

Are your cups all the way in your deck ? Even if one is like a little crooked it can makebit catch

They might not be. I can only see a teeny tiny gap in between the deck and the headset. Should I get them in more?

Yes cause they might bee a little crooked and that will make a tight spot
