Cutting Down RUP Bars?

I Need To Cut My Bars Down But There Are Thread Things At The Bottom Of The Bars And I Dont Wanna Screw It Up. Everything On It Is Stock And I Just Got It Today. Can You Just Cut It Down To Youre Desired Length And Then Make The Slit.

yeah they can be cut down any height and still work as long as u put slits
