DCR-VX1000 viewfinder ribbon cable

if anyone has this camera have you had to replace yours...i found on the internet that it is a common problem with these cameras and im trying to diagnose this problem im having with the viewfinder.

problem : viewfinder screen dims to the point where you cant see it

I dont think there is a way around it, you need a new cable.

yes and no my school video editing team got it when this dude walked in and gave it to us and then about a month later the viewfinder stopped working and then like 4 months after that i was like why the fuck are we using mini dv cams so i took the vx1000 in and now im fixing it which mean its practically mine since im spending money on it except i cant take it when i graduate

ps its not as shitty as you think its got good features and its pretty reliable when recording the only thing it doesnt have is a LCD

except for capturing with it.. dude i know what im talking about.. trust me i had one. no lcd is the least of your problems.
