Andrew:
There were at least 3 things I wanted to ask you, and I can't even remember one. FML.
Everyone:
Those are the rules. The infraction system is your friend. Cussing/vulgar language is a big one that we need to crack down on more. Another is #1. Recently with TRW people we've been neglecting these a bit. Deleting one or two posts from a thread to "fix" it is a lot better than having to delete a whole topic.
Kieran (and everyone else):
As we discussed via PM, here are the old rules for COTW/POTW:
Anyone feel free to add/remove rules as they please. We'll get a solid set of rules going soon. IMO, POTW is fine as is, but I'd like to see VOTW changed into this:
Brock:
I know we spoke briefly on facebook about your involvement as media/photoshop guy here. How soon can we expect to see the "best of" banners for users to use? If the riders desired, mods and admins are allowed to use HTML in user titles. This means that a user could potentially have their username, location, post count, avatar, and a separate image all alongside every post they make here in the forums.
If anyone else has any specifics they'd like to go over, lets do it here. As always, PM system and content@scooterresource.com are available for use if you'd prefer.
<33 Let's get SR back on track.
There were at least 3 things I wanted to ask you, and I can't even remember one. FML.
Everyone:
1. Respect EVERYONE.
2. No cursing, cussing, swearing or any other unnecessary vulgar language of the sort.
3. Never tell people they suck or that you are better then them, rather, give them advice to help them improve.
4. Do not demand respect without a video and even then don't demand respect.
5. Do not make stupid posts or spam existing posts.
6. No porn or related links.
7. No pirated music or movies.
8. No Racism.
9. No "profit" advertising in the forums.
10. No drug or alcohol related threads, this includes "Posting Under the Influence".
11. Do not post in threads you know nothing about or give advice on things you cannot do yourself.
12. Post new topics in their respective categories.
13. Do not double post but if you do, delete the duplicate post.
14. Use the edit button instead of making a new post if you forgot something.
15. There is a Private Messanging system for personal conversations so don't use the forum for that.
16. If you start accumulating too many Private Messages, delete the ones you do not need anymore or they will ALL be deleted.
17. Keep the information in your profile up to date.
18. Do not abuse this site in any other way.
19. If you get warned do not argue just review these rules in order to avoid further warnings.
20. Obey these rules and you will be fine.

Kieran (and everyone else):

- Photos are to be given through an EXTERNAL LINK (such as through Photobucket or Flickr .) Entries sent with a photo ATTACHED IN AN EMAIL WILL BE DISQUALIFIED
- Entries are due by 11:59PM Friday, as to have all Saturday to be voted on.
COTW Rules:

- 30 Second Max.
- No editing allowed except slo-mo, fades, and your name
- Clips must be unreleased
- Winner picked based on trick difficulty and originality, as well as video quality.
- Videos must be hosted on an external website that allows us to embed the video on the front page (such as Youtube or Vimeo).
- Include Rider Name and Location
- Entries are due by 11:59PM Friday, as to have all Saturday to be voted on.
Anyone feel free to add/remove rules as they please. We'll get a solid set of rules going soon. IMO, POTW is fine as is, but I'd like to see VOTW changed into this:
This is how simple SR's new VOTW is:
1. There is a five second time minimum, and a two minute time maximum.
2. One rider per entry, per week.
3. The entry must include minimally the rider's name featured in the video. (Please also include: rider, editor, and filmer's names. Also, the artist's name along with song title if music is used)
That's it!
Yes, that's right! Super 60's are now allowed, a day video is allowed, and normal clips are allowed! Titles/music are now allowed too! Filmers/Editors - NOW is the time to show off your skills, with the new VOTW from Scooter Resource.
