haha. i could do that, but i just want to make sure i get over things myself. Sure, drinking and scooters and friends are all good ways to help, but i gotta stop being a little bitch and man up. ha

^ thats how i looked at everything at one point 'man up and get over it.' i dont mean to sound like a downer but its not that easy. im in a situation imilar to yours with the girl stuff. sometimes you just NEED to hangout with good friends, have some fun.
ive gotten to the point where my feeling are just f*ck everything, i dont care about anything or anyone, but music and friends are the only thing keeping my sanity at the moment

i think donald had the only real solid story.

honeslty ive stayed awake for 2 days a lot
and not eaten alot
and all of the stupid depression shit

all i can say is you have to force yourself to be regulated.
and what donald said, basically change your attitude about life, by changing your life drastically.

melatonin helps.

i have really bad anxiety and ive had it for about 4 years now. i get depressed and emotional over nothing. the doctors dont know why and neither do i but my breathing gets horrible and my heart rate will increase alot and sometimes ill just start crying, i refuse to take any kind of pills for it bc that stuff only makes you weaker, now on the 4th year having anxiety im alot better i learn to control it on my own and ive never been happier. you just have to think happy thoughts and just be happy for w/e you do have, listening to music, talking to friends, or just riding my scooter around helped ALOTT with it, but just learn to control it on your own. dont ever take pills or drugs for it

^panic attacks.

i used to get every symptom you could get from a panic attack

i honeslty think that depression is so highly prone in teenagers b/c you still have no idea how to handle your emotions since youve been protected for so long and havnt learn to deal with these types of uncomfortable situations.
+ kids hormones are wack

either you learn/grow a defense to it as you get older
or you let it eat you b/c youre not growing up/out of it
i think boys may be prone to not outgrowing depression, b/c they never address their emotions in the way that girls do.
but i cant say that for sure.

seasonal defective disorder, i have that i cant stand winter, i get real down and hateee being stuck inside, my dad used t get it worse, he had to sit infront of a light box every night for an hour

i was pretty depressed a few months back and i remember being mad at everyone and everything. couldnt sleep at all because of all the stress and too much things to think about. what i did that helped is one day i just walked to a local pond and just there watching the water for a couple of hours and talked to some friends who helped me through it. i suggest that whenever your feeling down to talk to your closest friends that WILL help you with your problem and just try to have fun and smile. it does wonders.

To Donald, about your friend with swimming, i think any activity just helps me, but swimming i must say helps the most, whenever i am in the water a lot, or just going through a season of water polo my life is the best ever, the moment i stop, everything seems to go downhill. Being busy also helps me because less time by myself is less of me thinking about stupid shit.

get some "grow" lights. you lay under them and they simulate a nice sunny day even if its a cold shitty rainy february day. my uncle has severe depression and uses these. i used to have minor depression but it was more just bipolar. but anyway i tried these and i love them. i dont know about you but in the winter i get much more depress because of little sun and short, cold days.
