Dialed Or Not?

I know how to put parts together right, so everything stays dialed. The ONLY thing that pisses me off is wheels shaking, which is sometimes impossible to avoid, but I'd rather ride than fix.

having a dialed scooter is probably the best thing to have. Having a loose wobbly scooter makes it harder to ride. I had ICS. my scooter wobbled like hell. Now i have SCS. that was a really good investment

Why did your ISC wobble? Because im getting it... Did you just not do it right or is it just like that?

i honestly couldn't care less how my scooter is, as long as its got griptape and the headtube doesn't shake a ton i'm fine.

i do prefer to have it as solid as i can get it, which isn't very most of the time. i don't care enough to haha.

I think the people that really truly care are at about the same level as the kids who need to buy tons of aftermarket parts right from the get-go in order to start riding. Everyone that's been around for a while knows how sketchy our scooters used to be, so it's not a big deal when they get a little janky. If I'm sitting around bored I'll fix up my scooter so everythings tight, 5 minutes into a session it's loosened up and I like it better that way.

edit: it's the same with bmx, garrett, aaron, tony, you never see/hear those guys riding perfectly quiet bikes, they creak and rattle everywhere. Albeit it's probably becuase they put their bikes through hell, but like someone up there^ said, if they're really actually good at biking it shouldn't matter as long as the bike lives through it all (scooter in this case)

I agree that a while ago there wasn't a lot you could do about your scooter getting a little wobble and rattle, but with the tools and resources today you can easily rectify problems of the past, so why not

not saying that every time you go to ride your scooter should feel brand new (but it's nice when you do ritualistically dial in your scooter for that purpose) but it also shouldn't be a clanky loose mess, otherwise you're just lazy

I got myself banned.
If the folding mech is locked, the headset isn't jiggling and there some kind of grip on the deck, im good to go.

Love when I goto a skatepark and kids are more worried about setups than throwing down. This happens often in New Jersey, i'll roll up on a piece of shit and throw down harder than all the little kiddies with their imported $200 french ID bars, metal cores and flashy headsets and forks. Fuck some kids even put rails on the bottom of their deck and they can't even grind haha.
