Digital Still Camera

i want to get into photography and ther is no other threads i could found that had anything about digital cameras for beginners... i dont want anything too flash but at the same time i want the camera to do the job...
ive been looking around ive found 2 canon cameras.. EOS 300X and the EOS 3000N..
are these good cameras.. if not could you tell me some other cameras that would suite my needs... ill just be using the cameras for sports like scooterin and stuff..

i dont really mind.. i guess it would be a good feature if i get into photography alot more and want to get a good fisheye...

if the feature doesnt cost that much more than yes.. im not sure but i think the two cameras i said earlier have that feature..

D50 for digital and interchangeable lenses. if you are going digi and you're gonna want a fishy, nikon ftw.
