I got myself banned.
i'm buying a new deck this weekend when i go to scooterzone.
i need opinions.

first of all, addict taos vs district v2i.

i like the addict mainly because it's new and it's highly coveted for being the ultimate street deck. and i ride street a LOT. not even a lot, it's the only thing i ride.

the bottom pyramid shape, not a big fan, doesn't look super steady for grinds.

i know it's super strong, i can just tell by all the reviews so far, let me know if you find a video of a snapped addict.

the brake system bothers me, but if i buy an addict, i'll buy a switchblade.

next, the v2i

i love the flat bottom for grinding, that's pretty much it.
and the weight of both decks are also a huge plus.

the v2i however has been snapped several times, i'm pretty sure i won't snap it if i get one, i don't ride hard.

the brake system shouldn't be too bad, but looks like a pain trying to install a switchblade.

bottom line, i just need to know if i should get an addict taos or a district v2i.

grinds are gonna be a main trick in my dictionary, so i really need to consider that when buying a deck.

i have enough money for either deck, but if i buy an addict, leaves me less for new wheels, scs, etc.

the district is cheaper price point which i like.

i need opinions, thanks so much guys.

My opinion is the v2i. I don't know why but I like the feel of a district rather than an addict. Personal preference though, get the district if you want wheels or something.

Stop talking shit man. Two v2i's snapped. One because the owner milled out the headtube and the other one because the dude almost grinded through it. I think you're talking about the v2. They snapped alot

oh, never mind most of them were v2's snapping. lol, but i've seen a few snapped v2i's in person. but all of them from like huge stairsets that i would never jump. so i should be good. i really don't know which to go with though, addict or v2i.

Honestly, It's all personal preferance. Both are really good decks.

i know, but damn, i used to have a french id, and it was just amazing how good it felt when you grind on that super square flat bottom. i felt like i had so much extra control over the grind.

i'm looking for extra light scooters here so that's why im looking to switch to an addict or a district, that and mainly because i sold my french id and cannot stand riding my old ultra pro for much longer haha

both decks are amazing but youre wrong about strength, more addicts have snapped then districts, addict is more expensive IMO harder to ride
districts are poretty much flawless, alot cheaper than any of its competitors, very very VERY strong, they are very well designed and perfect width and flat sides and bottom make whips and grinds a dream, also, if you get one you won't even need to buy a new brake, they are dialled and NEVER snap because they moove from side to side and are flexible, its hard to adjust to but when you do its a amazing style of brake..... i'll put it this way, if one could fit on my madd i'd have it.

i used to own one....http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...69301128.12117.100002021570259&type=3&theater

it was the best scooter i ever owned but it was a v2 and this is what happens to v2's...http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...04642187.47231.100002021570259&type=3&theater

i hated them for a while but then my mate brought the new dk-2 and he shreds it! its the best deck out. and i strongly recomend it, i am saving up for a new one

Both are great, I have the V2i and its great for grinds but have you considered that the addict is 4.56 wide so the pyramid bottom could have a close amount of material that will be connecting with the rail so the grinds shouldn't be to different.

I'm getting the TAOS soon so I'll judge for myself.

The Addict is trendy, light, comes with gay plastic brakes, seen one broken in the broken scooter thread recently. And stupid spacers.

The District is light, comes with a decent brake, pretty strong, cheaper!

Get the V2i, they've been out ages before we started seeing broken ones, i've all ready seen 1 cracked addict on fb, and one in the broken scooter thread all ready and they haven't been out too long. Imo they would be shit for grinding as the bottom looks identical to an mgp which are the shittest grinding decks available, get the v2i I love mine it so nice for grinds and street and also costs loads less.

v2i
addicts must be awesome too, but i was freaked out by those splitted dropouts caused, as far as i know, by their spacer and axle system which can be dialed if properly assembled with a new axle. district requires no hassle, cheaper, proved reliable, not worse or better tha addict, why spend more

v2i better for grinds feels nicer in imo, cheaper and the brake will last longer no hassle also the back axle works fine whereas the addict rattles alot even after tightning on some of them and i have ridden both and prefer v2i

hmmm, most of you guys are telling me to go to the v2i, right now i'm leaning more toward the v2i.
i saw a picture of a broken addict, anyone have a picture of one snapped at the headtube?
