So as some of you know, I produce music in my free time as 'smyl3r' (I use FL Studio). I've been doing it for a couple years, not too serious though. My music covers a few different genre's, but I usually only upload dubstep. However I'm going to start releasing my other tunes as well. I use soundcloud to post my songs (follow me?), but sometimes make a equalizer video and throw it on youtube.

I'll be posting my songs in this thread for feedback and whatnot. I might post some up-and-coming tunes from other small producers like myself also. Any questions about producing is welcome as well.

To start things off, here is something I threw together yesterday. It is chilled, easy listening downtempo.

It's just a dubplate (work in progress). It needs some equalizing. Not too sure if I should make it into a full song yet... Let me know what you think!

I liked the last one (introduction), you should definitely make a full size version.
The other ones are decent too but I think you should pay a bit more attention to drums production. As one of my friendly producers says, a track with good drums and bad synths usually sounds more professional than a track with bad drums and good synths for some reasons, and I agree with him.
Also your music can be improved with some synth diversity. I don't know, maybe that's your idea, to make these tracks sound like 2008-2009 dubstep (before it became heavily influenced by electro house), but using complex basslines is a standard for today's dubstep.

Thank you tons for the feedback. I'll definitely make introduction into a full song. What you said about drum vs. synth quality is very true. I pride myself more on synths than I do drums so I'll start paying more attention to drums. And actually I am very purposely staying away from electro house influences and 'complex' basslines. I have a very specific taste in dubstep. I'm one of those people that thinks dubstep and house should be kept far apart

Finally used this super epic sample from X-Men: First Class that I've been wanting to mix with. Also testing out some drum tracks that I'll be using in a song I'm doing with Derpex.

Oh yeah went with a catchy sound instead of my classic dark stuff.

i usually can't stand Dubstep but i was diggin the begginning of Midnight Child until the wub wub wub started kickin in.

i'm more interested in hearing what else you got. What other genres are you into, and do you know how to play any instruments in real life?

Glad you liked it :)

I do love dubstep but I also love laid back electronic music like downtempo. I don't jump around on genre's too much but what kind of music are you thinking of?

And yes I can play guitar. I taught it to myself a while ago, I basically just memorized a bunch of chords. I'm not too musically inclined. I'm good with computers though so that's why I have a niche with this stuff.

Me and my friend Derpex are making a song, it's almost done. We need a name for it though, any suggestions? I'm going to take it down soon so...
