Hey Timur. I going to be in Moscow in a few weeks. Is it worth to bring my scooter and are there any indoor skate parks? And my Russian is pretty broken so would I have a hard time communicating with people or do most people speak a little bit of English?

Well, I think it's a good idea. Today there are at least three small indoor parks in Moscow and bigger one is going to be opened soon - http://skateboarding.ru/news/rus/3105/
Also one of that small parks is built specially for scooters, take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTZZBEkKKZw&feature=player_embedded

And I don't think it would be hard to communicate since some French and Estonian riders have already visited Moscow and rode with local guys with no problems (and English isn't even their first language).

It's really big in Moscow, hundreds of riders, at least 3-4 shops that distribute scooters exclusively and they hold competitions every 1-2 months when it isn't snowy. Unfortunately scootering isn't as popular in the rest of the country. Here in St. Pete we have like 20 regular riders and it is the second biggest city in Russia.

Those are the two cities I will actually be going to. St. Petersburg and Moscow. Is there anywhere to ride in St. Petersburg around this time of year? That is where I will be spending most of my time while in Russia.
