Do you have to grease or lubricate integrated headsets?

I didnt see any post about this its probably a common sense question. But I was wondering if you have to lubricate the bearings before you use them?

i bought a sputnic integraded headset and i just put the bearings right in and they spun like a dream.. i think theyre all internally greased

Its a good idea to do after a few months of use.

Not before you put them in. But after a few months its not a bad idea

Yes. It makes a world of difference. The bearings themselves don't need the grease, but any metal-to-metal contact (the crown race to the bottom bearing, the pinch ring to the top bearing) needs grease.

putting some grease isnt going to hurt. you really cant have too much grease.

they come greased inside but i almost always grease headsets no matter what. Its never a bad thing to keep your stuff maintained...
