My opinion:
I honestly do not like the Wii.
Nintendo is implementing technology into its gaming platforms where it really doesn't belong and really doesn't need.
Nintendo DS? C'mon, who is so overly stoked about the touch screen? Two screens isn't bad but its only really well used in cinematic s's. Nintendo may very well be the most innovative gaming company right now, but what dose it all matter?
Back to the Wii. Its dying, fast. The hype for Smash Bros Brawl is the only thing keeping the Wii in homes of many Wii users although they would hate to admit it. For every big and great release the Wii has, 10 mini game compilations are released.
In the span of 10-12 PS3/360 new release blockbuster games the Wii came out with the following
Carnival Games (compilation of mini games...again)
My Sims (silly little cartoon world like the original sims)
Dragon Blade (Rated as a terrible game and an overall failure)
Wii is nothing more then a mini game system with a few awesome titles just because Nintendo's franchise (ie: Mario, Zelda and Metroid.)
It is being aimed even more closely to children then any other Nintendo system ever and for a serious gamer, it is merely a fad.
For a house party or your nine year old brother, this system is the best but for an overall gaming experience it seriously fall short of acceptable for how long it has been out.
I vote N64 back.
