teachers are getting wayyy under payed? Seriously its ridiculous how a pro athlete can get paid millions of dollars for playing a dumb sport when a teacher isnt even making $100,000 a year for basically creating our futures. And being in this recession isnt helping at all. People all over are getting layed off or fired cause money is sooo tight then we just sign our athletes with multi million dollar contratcs. I thought money was tight? Same goes with doctors. They are saving lives and arent getting close to what athletes. Besides sports is just entertainment right? Why does an athlete need to be payed that much? They should be playing for the love of the game and not the money.

Our world is backwards.

i dont think they are getting underpaid, but i do think athletes do. all their sponsors pay them so much because the players are their advertisements. many kids look up to these people and the corporations know how to use that fame to make people buy their stuff, thus the players get millions.

some of my teachers get a good $80 an hour. thats some bank.

you have to admit that some teachers dont deserve a penny the way they act, how they can't teach, or can't control a class

i think if we had a better education system with good teachers it would solve alot of things

the way kids act in class also could help, if kids gave a shiit that would help the teachers more

i think alot of problems kids have these days is caused from technology

doctors are making some pretty big money but yes i agree they should be making more and so should teachers

i seriously think the whole sports thing is fuucked up with the amount of money they make

In Texas, teachers make very little money ($30-$40,000). From what i know though, teachers in northern states are making nearly $80,000 a year? Im talking like north central states though. I dont personally think teachers salaries are too questionable, but i totally agree that a FEW athletes make WAY too much income, in comparison to the impact they are making on the world. Teachers construct our youth...athletes can catch a ball? Oh well.

but also, teachers get allot of time off. summers, breaks, holidays, ect.

my high school is one of the top 3 high schools in socal haha. our teachers make bank. but im sure some other ones a re less fortunate

Absolutely right Chris. Some teachers are fucking bullshit. I have an art teacher who teaches us nothing about art, but instead thinks that where words derived from is far more important.
