Does anyone want to make a problem-free SCS?

I've come up with a solution to stripping SCS which will allow you to never need to cut a bolt, or cut the SCS, or go through any of the shit that people have to now when they mess up their scs. Just recently I stripped two of my SCS bolts and i went back to HIC. Which is a good solution to everything, but for those of you who enjoy SCS....

But I have a solution! And it's so simple, that... it's upsetting no one has done it yet!

I'm going to use blazer SCS as an example in this.

This is the issue. Right here. You can't see it because it's been the issue with many clamps and SCS.
The bolt threads into the SCS. There in is the problem. Simply put, if a hole strips you need to retap it or get a new SCS for maximum efficiency.

Simple solution? Cut that shit out.

Bam.

CNC'ing a hexagon into the side of the SCS for a 1/4th nut and using a 1/4th inch allen bolt (grade 8 of course) would ELIMINATE any chance of stripping the SCS. Because the bolt tightens into the nut and compresses the SCS.

If the nut fucks up, buy a new nut. If the bolt breaks, you can just pull it out instead of cutting it and potentially ruining the SCS.

Someone get on this.

I probably forgot something but you get the jist of the idea.

Until then you could just drill out the Threaded Hole and use a Flange Nut with a stripped SCS

(regular nut would work also but the flange nut has more contact area)

Exatly what i thought. If you had CNCd holes, it would be easier. You would need only a 5mm allenkey

I like that French id clamp that has the replaceable incerts so if you strip one, it slides out and you put a new one back in. Good thinking.
I'd go back to scs.

EDIT thought of an awesome idea IMO if it doesn't cost too much. have the scs like what rob did but instead have circle holes. at the end of these circle holes have an allen key slot so its like
IIIIIIIIIII555555

the "I" is the thread in the circle and the "5" is the allen key hole. dont know if this would cost loads but swish have a similar idea for there v2 pegs which are the best pegs in my opinion

The idea is to have something that is still smooth ish and jutting out.
Derek i dont care if its that expensive it would be the last SCS you'd ever need to buy.

hell, paying 100$ for a problem free SCS is ideal especially with the extra clamping power.

THis is an elbow for a paintball hopper, ut basically this design right? The nut goes into the plastic mold incase it strips.

i love robs idea on this new scs. it would be sick if someone produced some prototype scs's like that. this thread needs more attention

Hel yea rob! I do this with double clamps when they strip.. Waayy stronger and easier to change if something fucks up. And hit up andrew broussard with this idea im sure he will be pleased and more than welcome to introduce the SCS V2
