Does putting holes in the top of your deck make it easier to snap?

you can do it in your MGP and it won't snap, it makes it stronger

i did 3, 30mm holes in my MGP nitro and it didn't snap, just make the holes 30mm and not near any welds (atleast 50mm away). also you have to get the holes right in the middle of the deck so you don't cut into the walls. i did 1 right in the middle and i think 80mm away for the other 2 on each side

You definitely should drill out your welds, it's just unnecessary weight

I put "speed holes" along the sides and the top of a mgp. Never cracked, like issac and Dom said don't put holes close too the headtube

no as long as they arnt close to amy welds or the holes arnt on the verticle part of any metal just the horizontal top and bottom plate it will maybe take away at most 3% of strength.
