Has anyone got any experiences with them?
Opinions?

Any suggestions for a cheap decent DOF?

i dont know about for action sports because when you use them you have to manual focus your lens and the focus is so critical when your following movement you would have to focus it perfectly with them getting closer and farther
also you pretty much always have to have it on a tripod because it makes the front of your camera really down heavy
i know most people use the letus adaptors with nikon 35mm lenses but im sure there are way cheaper alternatives out there with slightly less sharp glass

what kind of camera do you have madis? If its a small consumer hd cam i would get one of those offbrand ones off of hv30.com its like a jag 35mm or something. and it would be great for intro shots not actual riding

Chill. I'm not using it for riding footage.
And letus adapters cost $1000 minimum, so i can't say it's a low-budget item.

It's a small consumer handycam Sony HDR-CX11E (PAL-system, the NTSC version is CX12 if you want to look up)
Jag35 Pro don't have prisms inside the adapter, so everything you see with the LCD/viewfinder is all upside down. I'm not sure about other jag35 adapters yet, still looking into.

and hv30.com is a chinese website.

You would have to be an idiot to want to use one off a tripod/dolly...

I've used one of the redrock micro adapters on a DVX at my school before. Things are so nice to have. You can build them. theres guides on SP and shit.
