Depends what deck you do it on i guess.
Billie did it on the mgp forged deck.
The deck is quite thick so theres no chance of it snapping.
It might look funny, but it works, made it lighter.
He also did it on the first maddgear, aiming to take pressure off of the welded headtube.
It worked quite well.

Heres a photo (last time he did it, he measured and it looked alright. This time he went crazy haha)

yeah that be mine haha, recently done more(yesterday) but was a bit sketch. it wont break anytime soon because mgp have 2 7mm rail which is more than necessary, but i wouldn't do it to any other decks. maybe tsi. almost forgot xt lol, you can drill the shit out of it.

I'd say it should be fine if you drill the holes vertically, cause most of the strength from the deck comes from the walls that go up and down. With a TSI you could go nuts with the deck plate as it's easily replaceable and doesn't really hold any strength. Stay away from welds and points that are already weak.

Id say just drill the top, if you drill the bottom the dropouts and or sides will crack and then just crack to the holes. Anddd kablamo.
But pro decks dont crack on top, lmao, so it should be safe to drill the top, try it out.

What about an old a? Im thinking about drilling holes for screws down the middle plate and slapping on a skateboard deck for a concave feel, would that weaken an old a at all?

Nahh probably not, old A's are pretty strong besides the dropouts. It would probably work fine.

I broke it at the foldy before I got the chance to try it :/
AND I don't have a deck now.

But my birthday is next week so maybe I'll get an ultra pro or a Tsi :)

Personally I would never drill a Pro Mod... IMO they're weak enough as it is but if you're really keen to do it i'd avoid the dropouts and under/near the foldy as these are the places that I snap them.
