Since the other thread is full of simple produced brostep links, i thought that a new thread was needed.

So what is ''dubstep'' ? Dubstep started out in london early 90's having deep roots from the genre Dub. Dub has a tempo at 70 bpm, dubstep has a 140 bpm. but still sounds the same, hence its called DUBstep.

2006: Pioneers of the scene named DMZ released Anti War Dub. It was a huge hit with all the elements of dubstep packed into 6 minutes and 22 seconds

2010: Producer Skrillex moved from emo rock to dubstep, getting famous through Youtube and Released ''Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites'', This song has pretty much absolutely no element at all. The song starts with a simple melody/Build up. 40 seconds later it transforms a unstructured disaster with a Simple beat (1kick1snare8pattern) followed by randomly placed wobbles, that almost sounds like... fart noises (?). This disaster has 34 million views, while pioneers and founders of Dubstep has max 1 Million views (!).
